Although I thought that I already knew Rainbows, spending the morning with them showed how little I really understood about their work. I didn’t know that they provided services to the entire East Midlands – not just Leicestershire; or that they support young people up to the age of 30. I was also unaware of the services they provide to families whose children have died elsewhere. Of course my visit was emotional – but it was mainly inspiring. Rainbows is an amazing charity that has long been a part of our county – but it is also hugely progressive and needs our support to help it to in turn support our life limited children and their families. It was also a joy to meet Toni, the 13 month old Golden Retriever who has recently become the Rainbows dog!
